WPS Office, originally called Kingsoft Office, is an office productivity suite by Kingsoft Corporation. Its name is an acronym of its three main components or packages. Its components include three defacto office packages compatible with Microsoft Office. Writer, a word processor compatible with Microsoft Word, Presentation, a PowerPoint-compatible presentation program and Spreadsheets, an Excel-compatible spreadsheet program. The suite also includes a PDF Reader.
WPS Office is similar in design to Microsoft Office post-2007, which makes it easy for users familiar with Microsoft Office to quickly adapt and migrate over.
One noticeable difference with WPS Office is that all of its packages can run tabular in the same window. This feature can be turned off during installation or in the settings menu.
WPS Office has cross-platform support. It is available for Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Apple iOS, Android and Linux. A cloud-based web client is also available.
A premium version of WPS Office is available. The premium version is ad-free, has 20 GB of cloud based storage, additional document templates as well as a PDF-to-Word document converter.
